Also a NGC MS67RD 1970S Small Date and a NGC MS66RD 1970S Large Date. The Small Date has a population at NGC of 5. The Large Date I just recently upgraded to a NGC MS67RD example but do not have it in hand yet. Will post pictures of that one when I get it.
1970S small date proof I have almost a full roll of the 70-S small date biz strikes...but I'll spare you of all the pictures.
Today's offerings are a NGC MS67RD 1971 obv and rev and a NGC MS67RD 1970D obv and rev. The 71D has a NGC population of 5 at MS67RD with none higher
BadThad, it's really interesting how many target toned 1970-s Proof Lincolns there are. I always wondered if there was something about the plastic original government packaging that was different in 1970. Maybe a different chemical make-up?
Definately something to do with either the packaging or minting process. They look like this in the original mint package.
