103 Days of Lincoln Cents

New to thread. I don't really know where to post but as you are talking about pennies I thought it would be okay. Can anyone tell me about the 1968 S and 1969 S pennies? I have one of each. The 1968 S is missing the "A" in United States. I think there must be an interesting story to go along with the error. There's only a very faint mark of where the capital "A" would have gone. Thank you! Forgot to mention that 1963 Riviera is one of my favorites. My mother drove my brother and me around town in a cream and coco one for many years.

Hard to speculate about the '68-S. Sounds like a grease-filled die.

Okay, after hearing what kirk said about size, I got the full image back on this one from the originals folder and added the frame and stuff.

 

Something with a copper plate.
