    I completely understand that. One of the reasons I'm not a huge slabbed coin collector, it tends to monetize coins too much and then collectors like you can't get what's needed.

    Thad, I took your suggestion (even a 68 year old can learn new tricks) and the '32 and '33 are my first attempts.
    I bought my lamp at Costco not Walmart.

    WingedLiberty, That '32 is flat gorgeous! Maybve the finest toned '32 I've ever seen!

    Thanks RiverGuy ... ebay pickup for $119 ... it was already PCGS slabbed MS64RB ... hefty toning premium on that, but i liked it! The colors and toning pattern reminded me of some Matte Proof Lincolns I've seen (esp that overwash of translucent blue).
