i also found the matching 25-S with extreme die wear! Another one I was excited to find to match my others, it has a nice die crack along the bust.
I've been looking for a replacement S (this one is PCGS 64RB) for years but this is one of the hardest Lincolns to find - someday.....
1926, starting with the full red....I have a pair because I liked them both since they are different shades of red.
This is another date where my Philadelphia mint ended up being 65 RD in my collection. I bought three 27's raw from a local friend and one graded 64 and two 65. This one was my choice and I sold the other two. Wish I could do that with more coins...... Matt
Solid MS 65 BN in older NGC holder This date has a low pop in 65 BN at both TPG's. I chased one at a Goldburg auction and it just went too high and I chose to sit it out. A few weeks later this one showed up at a Teletrade auction and it went for a third of the other coin and I bagged it! Weird how the only two in this grade where for sale the same month(prob 3-4 now without checking). It must have been meant to be or it just pays to be patient, I've seen it work the other way a few times too. I'm happy to tell where I got these coins, mainly because my set is finished and I'm mostly satisfied and have somewhat moved on from Lincoln's, but watch out is that killer 66 BN rolls around, I'll be in the room for sure.....
