Took me a little over 2 years, but I think this is #1000. Thanks for the chance to participate in this community! If I have a collecting philosophy, it's probably "cheap coins can be fun." I've learned a lot and enjoyed seeing some of the "showpiece" coins on these forums, but I hope that I have also helped to show that there are still a lot of interesting coins out there which can be acquired quite affordably with a little luck. Thanks for all the comments, advice and encouragement along the way. Hopefully, I have a few thousand more posts in me. Below: Costa Rica, 25 Centimos, 1924 I have a soft spot for Costa Rican coins because my father was born there during World War II. My grandfather was a civil engineer working on the Pan-American highway, which might help better protect Latin America from a potential Japanese attack. He and his family moved to rural Costa Rica during wartime for a few years. They had a surprise additional child, and thus, indirectly, I get to exist! Life is funny that way...
Congratulations. I enjoy your posts as they often touch on subjects in which I am interested. Keep posting.
Congrats on your CT milestone keep up the good work. Your collecting philosophy is a good one Nice coin.
