Yep he sure did. Just a beast.

 

They had a lot of very good players go through that organization...they just couldn't keep them. I do recall that in the strike year of 94 or 95 that had a shortened season, the Expos team that year was just putting the smack down on everyone.

 

A treat to watch them both! But not correct. Excellent guesses though! Piazza is the best offensive catcher I have ever seen. And Maddux is one of the 10 best pitchers I will see in my lifetime most likely.

I'd say not offensively...although he did play in a totally different era...and the numbers would probably be closer. His longevity was awesome though. Overall...the whole picture...yes. But with a bat I'd take Piazza.
