This is an old coin struck in 1277 hijri islamic year (around 1861 Gregorian). In the first picture, is written ضرب فى مصر doreba fi masr meaning: struck in Egypt. year 1277 is written below in arabic. in the second photo (other side) is written the tughra (seal or signature in turkish) of sultan Abdul Aziz (sultan of the ottoman empire), and below is written 10 in arabic and the ottoman letter P پ (in arabic we call it heavy B; beh thaqeela). Peh stands for Para which means money in turkish. this coin was struck as mentioned above in Egypt during the time of Mohamed Saeed Pasha waly Egypt (son of Mohammed Ali Pasha). there is a failed attempt by a previous owner to pierce the coin to make it a medal or something. luckily not pierced thru and thru. it is just a dimple and a notch on either side I am not sure which side is obverse and which is reverse
The obverse is usually the Sultan's ornate signature or "toughra", here it is the second picture with the three vertical lines.
