Want to share a recent purchase. I live in northern California. Quite naturally, as a state quarter collector, I keep looking for a major Mint error regarding the state of California. Most I saw are broadstruck. Finally found one with the design "away" enough to be called an 10% off-center by NGC! :)

Here is one that I found in a $25 Mint bag in 2005. It has a fairly large die break on the brim of John Muir's hat that I dubbed, "Condor Doo-Doo".

As the OP mentioned, most Calif. quarters
are broadstruck - a real off center from our
State is very very tuff to find - very scarce,
at a minium, I'd say. Nice coin

Interesting die break, Chris. Nicely positioned on the hat. Like it. Thanks for sharing.
