It got here much sooner than I expected. JMB shipped it via 3 day UPS but it got here overnight.

    This coin is massive! o_O

It sold out really quick too.

In terms of diameter it’s not that much wider than a 5 oz ATB quarter but it’s the thickness that really shows how heavy it is.

I was hoping for less thickness and more diameter but on the plus side thickness saves space in my safe. ^_^

I wonder if NGC would slab it for me? xD

I think it’s much more interesting than a boring 1 kilo bar.

It was only like $0.80 an oz more to get the coin and I like the QB series so I pulled the trigger :p.

It kind of reminds me of this Roman silver platter.

    Yup! Cameo too!

Apparently the dish was made by chasing meaning it was hammered from the reverse side.

The find of the dish in Britain proved to historians that the metal working in Britain was much better quality than previously expected.

How do the historians know it was made in Britain if it is Roman?

PCGS and NGC both have slabs for those. The NGC ones are comically big that look like a TV dinner tray.

    No idea xD

If I recall correctly it had something to do with Christian imagery on it at a specific time period. I can’t remember the entire details though.
