    I found a couple of these sorting though some things today. Exchange rates say it's worth $0.021 USD. Seems like it would cost more to print... o_O

    Kenya_5S_P14.jpeg Nice example from Ethiopia @YankeeDime. Hyperinflation often hurts the exchange value of countless nations. This 5 Shilling I attached is currently equal to .04USD (4 cents) but I paid about $1 for it (partly b/c its UNC & for its collectible condition). It would be tough to get a note from 1978 in that shape so you have to throw out the exchange rate (there's a lot of notes out there that would exchange poorly but have high collector value).
    Your 1 Birr note looks like P-46c
