Having dealt with Mr. Hansen last year and found him to be a very friendly, reasonable and professional person, I can say the coin is going to a good home.
Hope Mr. Hansen realizes his goal. He has to pass a lot of famous Numismatists to obtain the title of the greatest collection of US Coins.
Yeah I don’t think the eliasberg collection will ever be equaled. Though he didn’t have a 70-s half dime as it wasn’t discovered to exist until after his death. And he didn’t have a confederate half dollar either a lot of big name coins are out there then there’s the almost impossible ones that don’t get the publicity because they’re so rare. Like the 73-cc no arrows dime the 70-s $3 and half dime the 54-s $5 the 1866 no motto $1 and of course my dream coins the 1822 $5 and 1885 trade dollar
It’s probably not appropriate to share private sales publicly, providing names and what was purchased. Just my two cents.
