Got this ad in the mail today advertising 1/10th ounce 24 KT gold pieces, not U.S. Mint, img894.jpg at $79.00 each. What do you thin? I don't really collect gold per say but could this be an opportunity?

Somehow or another this is a lead-in for overpriced items IMHO. Run don't walk.

Caught me there. Yeah, what the heck is .24? Now that appears to be very mis-leading. I'm runnin' guys.

It's only 24% gold, not 24kt. Meant to deceive.

The worst part of responding to the sight of that abomination is keeping it 1950s family TV appropriate:arghh:

As others said... .24 gold is FAR from .9999 gold. Very deceiving of them.

Believe these are the fine folks who turned out the infamous 9/11 coins.

They are plated with a thin layer of Bullcrap gold -

Which just goes to show, that even after their tenure in office, they still can't get it right.

Now, goosecrap gold might be more to my liking. I could scrape some off and sprinkle on my tomato plants.;)

Tommy you are funny - I'm tearing out the tomato plants and gonna make green tomato pickles - the Sauerkraut has 3 weeks to go!! The crock stopped burbing gas as of yesterday and the lid has settled and we got some good smells of sauerkraut coming through the lid!!

My garden is dying back too. My cherry tomato's are starting to split on the vine with some cool nights we have had lately. Beans are still going though. The only good thing about the end of the year for me is my trip to N.H. next month. I wish I had some of that kraut for my Pierogi's tomorrow night.
