I am very new at collecting and new to this group. I had a question just in general. I have a uncirculated 100 bundle of $1’s that are sequential numbers and all star notes. Anyone have an idea of the value? Thanks
As alurid said, to me these are worth $100. It's just a modern replacement note, with no fancy serial numbers between 501-600. However, there are collectors of these especially since it's 100 of them and the condition hasn't been destroyed yet. You can check sold auction listings. I imagine this could go for $130-$150. To me, it's $100. So know your customers.
That's really neat and it's unusual. They are modern which doesn't help but they are all crisp and in excellent condition. If you can I would just tuck them away in a safe place. They should have no contact with paper or pvc plastics. Keep the wrapper on them. At present they could be worth as much as $150 to a collector of sorts. Thanks for the photos and welcome to CT.
Thank you. Do you have a suggestion on the best place to keep bills? You mentioned to keep away from paper and pvc so where is the best place? Thanks!
That really depends on you. What state and where you live can have a bearing on the storage of them. What's the weather like? Basements and garages are out no matter where you live. Consider the conditions. A safe deposit box is fine.
I am in NC so it’s anyone’s guess with the weather. So if I have them in a metal safe that would be ok? Is it ok to store them in a bank plastic (I thinks it’s made from that) zipper bag within the safe?
