The story behind this coin is I bought a large collection of coins from someone (on ebay) last Aug. or Sept. that included everything from the 1909-s cents through a Delaware Commem, rolled cents, silver bullion etc. and everything in between. This lot contained 4 1909-S of which the only one I sold was the 1909-s Jack received, I still have the other three&nbsp; 09-s that I was hoping to put away for another day, I will now send those into ANACS for verification. I sold about half of the collection and got my purchase price back for the lot. 2 of the better coins I bought in this lot were sent in by other people and all returned as real except for this one. Needless to say I was shocked when Jack gave me the news that this coin was a counterfeit. It was beyond my scope as a coin collector to identify this coin as a fake even though I have been collecting coins ever since my grandmother gave me some indian head pennies back in the 1960&#039;s when I was 8 years old.&nbsp; This was a real eye opener for me.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp; I have read many posts on this site tonight and have found it all very interesting.
