İ have heard these are fake by some experts through the pictures? Are they really, if so?

    Thanks for clarifying. I wasn’t aware they are strictly enforcing those guidelines. Suggests trafficking in illegal antiquities is a growing problem. I certainly wouldn’t support nighthawking archaeological sites either.

    I contacted the museum some years back about some early Greek coins. I wanted to see how they fit with the museum collection pieces. No one expressed a concern and an appointment was set. I got the sense the individual I was scheduled to meet was mildly disappointed when my planned trip was called off. I figured I’d get around to it again someday. Guess that isn’t happening.

    I pointed out that the situation is complex, and mentioned one part of it. Are you dismissing my position? You seem to focus on just one alternative narrow aspect.

    I think you conjecture correctly. Not sure how many times I visited the BM to discuss matters with staff myself. About 50 I guess?
