    ooh, I haven't seen it, be sure to post a pic when you get it. Is it a circulation issue? or one struck in precious metal?

    The new £5 coin I think he is on about.

    Which are legal tender and I myself have used £5 coins on more than 20 occasions easily to buy things. (because I am sad).

    That being said ive used every other coin 1000s of times.

    I spent a 1976 $2 bill the other day, i have stacks of them, and it was a ratty one too, the store clerk sure looked surprised though...

    At the moment it is only available in a folder base metal Unc or silver, I did email the mint to ask if it would be released as a circulating coin but they apparently dont know yet :eek:

    You and that hammered guy are pulling me away from US collecting all together. There are just SO many beautiful coins out there. This thread just pushed me even closer to the edge. Thanks for posting them!

    I do also have the full set of the Olympic 50p coins but I am not too sure how well they will scan as they are in coincards within a celophene outer wrapper I will have a go at doing them though
