for any one who listerned to the latest coin show here is the commerative gold coin that the uk mint has issued. price for this is around £40,000. and its the stupidest thing i have ever seen http://www.royalmint.com/RoyalWedding/RoyalWeddingKilo.aspx?src=hm_smlBanner_WeddingKilo
Weeeell, UK Mint is a tad misleading. The Royal Mint made that beast in the name of, surprise, Alderney ... Christian
have you seen a picture of her? She is actualy very pritty but on ever single one of the coins she looks awful
They didn't do her any favors Calum, that's for sure. She actually is a pretty woman "in hand". Well...you know what I mean. Bruce
I think the Royal Mint is merely a company that happens to mint coins for the UK. They also mint coins for other governments and private collectors. It doesn't serve the same function as the US Mint. To say that the coin has been issued by the UK Mint is a tad deceiving.
The Royal Mint of the United Kingdom (previously the principal mint of the Kingdom of England) is the body permitted to manufacture, or mint, coins in the United Kingdom. The Mint originated over 1,100 years ago. No clue where you gather your information from, but it is completely incorrect.
I pulled it from the annual report. Though I think I misunderstood what I read. I forgot the UK still had countries that aren't colonies, yet are loyal to the throne.
