Not a big fan of the obverse toning, and toning normally doesn't turn me off no matter how ugly...but, if you like it, that's all that really...
I'm basing my (guess) off of the fact that it's on the anvil die (bottom), on the lowest possible part of the die right in middle of the coin....
It appears this occurrence on an eagle can possibly be quite valuable.......

After sobering up a bit, I retract my above statement (post #7) the coin probably is in xf-au condition,
I searched for quite a while and found absolutely nothing, except the weight, 84 grams and that it is bronze and unusually thick
