You are also correct in one aspect. They aren't dents. The reeding actually penitrated the surface of the coin.
Also I think you still don't understand how mint marks are applied. The mint mark is added to the die, not the planchette.
Go ahead and post them here. Nothing's gonna change what it is though. I've literally seen 1000's of coins with these coins through the years....
