This one is Brown and Blue. :) The toning is much stronger on this one than on the Brown and Purple. [IMG]
If you examine a TON of Proof Sets from 1960-1964 it is possible to find crazy color nickels. Other years too but 1960-1964 are the most common....

Oh, it will be interesting if they produce the Merc with the high relief of the 1916 (and some 1917) or if they go with the low relief.
Not doing them in silver is a terrible terrible terrible shame. I don't do moderns really but I probably would have bought the Merc at least if...

I agree, I would have referred to it as wood grain toning had it not been for the proof coin and the great luster, making it look like a polished...
