Great photography and sequential shots. You can almost feel it moving.
Made me miss all the hours underway shipboard down in the engine room and machine shop ... as if! I retired 27 years ago so memories are designed...
I'm surprised that no one else had a comment of the PCGS grade of the '50 D.
I like the PCGS site, but info gets a little slim. I check in on CCF, but a few loonies there.
I'm surprised at the grade. It looks like a very weak strike. Very little hair waves on Tom and the whole façade of the monument is weak.
It's got the cleaning scratches, because they were cleaning the hot chow mein noodles off it.
To me, it looks like glue or some other adhesive. It looks like someone squeezed in ahead of me for trying some acetone.
Thanks again for your generous auctions, but there were no special dates for me this time, so count me in on the 2011 Canada 5 Dollar timber wolf....
I've given many of my older coins with little value to local coin clubs, who usually have a table at larger coin shows, and have a "kid's table"....

Like Fonzi ... it's a greaser
I think that it just led a hard life.
A 50D is a nice pick-up.
Could this be a partial clip? I don't know how the planchets were prepared for 3 cents
Also in Hubbard's book on errors says that the '36 penny to "chalk them up to wear and tear" and "not all that valuable". It's a hub break as said...
Yes, I used to live in Missoula back in '70-71 and it doesn't look like the population increased much in 50 years. It was about 50,000 back then
If you are going up to BC, try to get to Paccoin. He's on the sites as Pacificoin. It's in the Fraser Valley in Chilliwack. I understand he is...
Beautiful bill. Never seen one like that.
I'd say XF as well, and it looks like it was not only cleaned, but then maybe some "Deller's Darkener" put on it to take the cleaning shine off...
A little environmental damage on the rev, but I think XF+
