Common note, so unless it's in ideal crisp condition I would spend it. Post-2000 (especially higher denomination) star notes aren't worth much...
I've heard that those iodine pen marks go away after a while. I received a 1990 $20 note from my bank with one of those unfortunate yellow streaks...
Nice collection of coins! Without being so dismissive, I would say that you have some good coins in that set. 2 pound coin- still in circulation,...
MS 67, with 5 full steps. Nice toning as well.
It's not an "S" or an error. Just a heavily circulated coin.
Only 30,000 coins of this type were minted. So, there can't be millions of people offering to sell. A great many of the scammers/speculators know...
It was to be expected that these coins would (unfortunately) be used as a mechanism for speculation. Like @green18, I simply wanted to purchase...
I agree- there is a possibility that it could have been cleaned. Hairlines and uneven luster are indicators.
It was hard to choose- each one looks great. However, I chose No. 4 and No. 6. On the 4th one, there is both nice toning, and a nice sheen, while...
I agree with the above posts. Generally, it's hard to attain a profit with notes in denominations of $20 and up. 98-99% of the time, these bills...
MS 66. Very nice coin!
It doesn't appear that there is any doubling on the coin- just looks like circulation wear.
MS 63 BN. Some of the dentils are weaker on the obverse, but that might just be the strike. About the cuds/hits, it's hard to determine if it's...
[ATTACH] [ATTACH] I have had this 1881 English penny for quite a while, and it appears to be a very “lowball”, possibly PO1 coin. I’ve heard of...
And... top one sold for $22.50! You can get a real Morgan for that much.
I would keep one roll, but saving a large quantity of high-mintage coins would be pointless. The only premium rolls I've seen are the 2009s.
The real question here is- why fake a common 1943 steel cent? The only ‘43 fakes I’ve commonly seen imitate the copper, rather than steel planchet...
Post a separate thread with photos. This last post here is from 2007.
Beautiful coin, and very deserving of MS67 FS. I suspected it would be downgraded, though.
Beautiful coin, although I don't think it's FS- there is a minor dent on the bottom step. I guessed MS66.
