I have two Mercury Dimes from the 1940's with about a 45deg rotation. Is that enough to increase their value at all?
If soap and warm water doesn't work, then soak them in olive oil for a while. Oil is the strongest and least harmful cleaner hands down.
First get some duct tape, a pitching wedge and a buffalo, preferably stuffed for safety sake. Then buy silver dimes in bulk, wait till the dollar...
Bought it from my coin dealer who could care less about toning. I on the other hand think that a nicely toned coin is one of the coolest things...
