Pictures to come later but I had my best box of cents! I found a 1919 (my oldest find to date), a AU/UNC 1955D, and an off-center 1999D
Would you say it's worth more than a dollar?
Not sure why the color in the image is so off but it's the color of a normal cent. [ATTACH]
I was recently told by my LCS that Gold and silver prices tend to spike in November of the years that a presidential election takes place since...
I'm not sure why, but I find a lot more BU copper cents than I do zincolns. Maybe it has to do with the composition and the instability of zinc.
No pictures but I finally found 2 Wheaties in a single roll!
I guess I just don't find BU zinc cents too much, aside from shield cents. I did find a really good looking 2008 D the other day
I know when I first started I found a 1950. I didn't write down the mint mark though and I haven't been able to find the exact coin. Hopefully it...
For some reason when I saw this post I was expecting a 1950D wheatie
Well I roll up all the copper ones and keep those but then I dump all the copper coated crap
speaking of that I should probably update my signature
Before this, the oldest cent I had found was a 42S so this is quite a nice find for me.
Is it bad that I don't bother looking at whether the date on a coin is large or small? I usually just do the sound test to see if the 82 cent is...
Jeez you guys are really mean about people saying penny instead of cent.
Other than silver, you can look for NIFC coins (any proofs or 02-now). Also be on the lookout for modern silver proof halves. I've gotten a few...
Depending on the lighting/angle it looked to me like a 19, 39, 49, or 89. I'm just glad it was a 19, but i would be even happier if it was an 09
I found out it was strangely enough a 19 https://www.cointalk.com/attachments/20160831_175523-jpg.533006/
just realized how blurry the picture is. But it is in fact, a 97 year old penny!
Now I'm pretty sure it's a 1919P which, after some research, I realized is old but not worth too much.
So far the box hasn't been too good. I've found 2 wheaties in 20 rolls. depending on the date of this one, it may be 3. But I kinda want to know...
