It’s my belief at one point the coin may have been put through a coin sorting machine and the wheel left a mark on the coin.
I’ll update as I get more info.
The 47P is now an NGC solo finest at 67+. For comparison PCGS has 2 67+ with none higher. All came from a raw set compiled in the early 80’s....
