GC would be 2004A notes from Philadelphia district. Sites I'm looking at show that no star notes were printed for that series and district.

See, I would have sold the #2 note first as the "lowest reported" serial number for the series....and then sold the #1 serial a few months later. ;)

I would think so too, but I'm combining "torn in half" with "looks like it would turn to dust if you touched it". I don't know any collector...
