I love these coins of these white, British rajahs ruling somewhere very far away from home...
Coin of Alexander the great ,probably Syria 300-100 BC AE. Ant. of Rome, lated 3rd/early 4th century AD
Very different colour. When worn, silver always tones pleasantly if it has not been tampered with, and feels somewhat heavy in the hand. Nickel...
Currency speculation with a tiny amount of potiental.
Both are correct...Mine uses the vocative (so it is God! Save the queen!) and yours is a more literal translation..
Very nice. I'm only really interested in Vardanes I (I have about 8 of them), but I've bought some earlier ones aswell.
Very nice, clear bronze with great patina. Love it.
18th century ottoman coin, probably with reverse damage.
Very cool coin !! I really love these, but they tend to be a bit hard to get in Britan at the moment !
They are worth 80-160 dollars each at the moment. I've already got a copper coin of Orodes, so if that proves to be him, I'm not interested in...
To me it looks like it could be either. It's either an excellent cast fake, or a coin from weak dies which has had a bad life. I still don't get...
Certainly parthian....but are both exactly the same ??
Thats a $100 coin if it is real.
"De Sevate Reginam" would be one way of saying god save the queen
Both look like they were dipped lightly. One AUNC, one cleaned ABU
Yes, very cool...and pictures are wanted
That last one is great !
I buy the uncirculated. I find modern proof coins are a bit gimmicky.
Yes, I buy fakes if something will cost a couple of thousand dollars, but only very good ones or contempory ones.
Dealers junk trays are best, you can get coins worth $10 there for a couple of cents if you are lucky (or clever)!!
