Here is a piece that sold at Heritage. http://coins.ha.com/itm/bust-quarters/1815-25c-e-counterstamp-au58-ngc-b-1-r1/a/1182-3396.s
For those of you who are regular listeners to The Coin Show podcast you may find this familiar from the last episode. In episode 87 I discussed...
Yeah straight on shots are going to be required... I like the shape of the MM's... but without straight on pics I can't be sure one way or another.
Yep, looks like a nice little clip
It's real... It has had a rough life tho. It appears to have "rubber band burns" on both sides... Under the wing on the reverse and obverse right...
It's a Chinese counterfeit.
Unfortunately it looks like a Chinese counterfeit.
MS64? That date comes PL... the pics leave a lot to be desired.. that ring light really makes it look funny.
Some late date $20 libs come PL... but not many. I can't recall ever seeing one in a PL holder.
No problem ;)
Yeah $400 or a little more is about right. 1881 is not a common date GSA. $200 is more in line with the 1882s, 1883s, and 1884s.
It's a decent coin... Not struck very well but it's an old school 62. I was tempted to crack it and shoot for a 63, but rather than loose the cool...
Honestly, I'm not sure... I think you get back item price and your original shipping, but I could be wrong.
Just file a not as described and return it.
Bid on the set is $2,052.35. We are asking $1900 delivered. Pics available upon request.
This is the first doily holder I have ever seen. I picked it up this past weekend at a local coin show. [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]

Nothing says "made in China" like Wal-mart... Haha!
I have seen silver coins that have spent time underwater develop that sort of issue.
