imho, both notes are damaged, one via a repair and the other by folding and soiling. I still prefer the top note.

Well the top note is clearly marked "Internal Repairs" :) I don't mind repairs if they are minor (ie, filled pinholes, very small internal tear...
All my notes are scanned and they tend to come out pretty good. You can see all of them if you click the link in my sig.
I'd really have to see the notes to see how well the internal repair was done, but if it looks as good as it does in the photo, the top one wins...
