It's a 1974d where part of the 7 is sheared off and pushed to make it look like a 1. It's not a fake, just PMD.
Neither, the 40 is Post Mint Damage(PMD) and the 89 is just a plating issue, you will come across a ton of those.

Looks plated to me, even a polished one would show discoloration or toning of some kind in that old a 2x2
they didn't start using copper plated zinc until 1982. all others before that are copper. if they appear silver, they were plated after production...
Look to the right of the torch in the third pic in the OP, It looks to me like a ghost of the torch, which wouldn't be a clashed die. Anyone else...
