I've notice that on your posts so far with pictures they look pretty good. What were you using for those?
Sounds like a misaligned die, unless both side are off in the same direction then it's a off-center.
Oh, I agree. Sometimes you can find several in a roll. A crack is considered normal by the mint and several pro's.
Looks like the obverse die has die deterioration. Nothing worthy of saving.
Do you have any pictures sbillywho? And welcome to the forum.
I don't know anyone that would give an extra premium for a die crack, unless it's a massive one.
I'd like to see a closer shot of the doubling? And the cud is a die break/crack
What I'm seeing is MD unless you can get a better pic of the quarter.
Here's some examples of errors. Scroll down about 1/2 way for a struck through example. Yours appears to be post mint damage to me....
Huh?
As you continue to search those coins you'll notice there are many of what you are seeing with this coin.
Now with the narrow top margin does that ad to or take away from the added value?
Nice coin for your collection.
I'd keep the more dramatic ones.
Well from the picture you've provided it looks like a clash mark all right.
It could have been hammered between pieces of leather or similar material. For what reason? Who knows.
I knew it. [ATTACH]
I thought Doug was left handed.
What? I didn't understand what you said. Could you say it in simpler terms. Just kidding. Thanks for doing a GREAT job.
Yeah and let me know also.
