I'll agree with Hobo, it's either the picture or the coin, but I see no luster at all.
The 1911-D and 1913-S are still better dates, and are worth keeping. But polishing/cleaning coins destroys alot of their value.
I feel bad for the people that actually fall for this crap.
I don't think it's a Proof. It looks AU-50 to me, but as for being a Proof, I don't see it.
I guess if I buy a roll of 1955 Lincoln cents, get drunk, and search them, I'd be the luckiest person ever for find a roll of 55' DD's!! Nothing...
Not really a tough date, but I think you did alright. The tough dates, not including the 1916-D, 1921-P&D, and the over dates, are the 1926-S and...
I don't know if it's because of the pic, but that 1911-D looks cleaned or polished or something.
When I was bidding on Heritage, it was easy to sky rocket the price. But I do like how they show the price with the included bp next the the bid...
There's always a 15% buyers premium on all major auction sites. Heritage, Teletrade, Stacks, etc.
Any Gold coin is worth getting slabbed. It's a way to find out for sure what the grade is, plus, verify that it's authentic.
Great coins, the best ever is to have both of the keys to both of the series side by side. I'm thinking of saving for an 1877 IH though.
I'll have to agree completely. The rarer dates, such as the 1909-S VDB and the 1914-D, are counterfeited all the time. There are more fakes out...
Every coin being F-VF? In that case, probably around $8,000. But that's just a wild guess for me, I have no idea. Thousands.
In my opinion, I think the Indian Gold coins are one of the hardest coins to grade.
I'd just buy one that's already certified. In that condition, is way more than $2K.
I agree, I think the ding at 12:00 is enough to get it in a genuine slab.
Lesson learned. I wish I got ripped off on a $6 purchase instead of a $580 dollar purchase.
I agree, I don't think that is silver. That coin is worth $2.00 at the very most. But that's e bay for you.
This is why I stay away from e bay, let alone everything else on the internet. If I want coins, I go to a dealer in person. I haven't ordered a...
