What is one of these worth? Is it best to get them slabbed? [ATTACH][IMG]
$400 tops.
PMD the reeding isn't even straight. It's a crude tool job by some bored kid back before they had computers and video games.
180's on modern coins are very rare. I bet it is easily worth 100. Maybe 2 or 3 if you slab it and eBay it. Just my estimate IMO.
You can see in the clip where the rim was originally formed and has been ground down. Not real IMO.
I agree with rockdude. Struck thru grease, but the big scratch in front of his face makes it pretty much worthless. Still a keeper though.
Stuck in a washing machine or tumbler. Post mint damage.
Misaligned die. Since the letters are touching the edge, it is worth keeping. It's not worth much though. Maybe a dollar.
It looks like plate-split or die-deterioration doubling.
This one is clearly an acid dipped or science experiment coin.
Nice thread highjack calling his coin "phony."
There are probably only a few hundred or thousand, but very few have been found and many have been destroyed or will never be found. Congrats on...
The one in the pic is a 1985. It is is real, then there are many others. I will do a search and see what I can come up with. ------------ Edit:...
Probably a small die chip caused that metal blob in the hair.
That's beautiful, but I don't know if the PCGS of today would give it an MS-69. I'm not bashing it though. It's still easily the finest MS wheat...
Sorry, but it's just a minor greased die. It's not off center.
No they don't check every coin, just random ones and sometimes they get by. Back in the day, the coins used to be shipped loose in bags, so the...
I would definitely pay $200 for it and I'm a tightwad. It really needs to be slabbed to maximize value IMO.
Just get an 80s cent and an 00s cent and see for yourself.
I hate the word, but there are situations where saying "cent" would not be clear enough, so I guess it is necessary.
Separate names with a comma.
