look at the current 1 dollar bill it should be printed the same way as 1976/1977 bill
some morgans cost thousands even in very low grades.
I thought watermark and security strip were put on much later than 1976.

Both of your coins came from the 2 coin set, PCGS labeled your as MS SMS, anytime you see SP or SMS, it means it's not regular mint state coin.
The only way to get the SMS kennedy is from the 2 coin set. If it's not certified as SP, then it doesn't come from the 2 coin set. regular mint...
Those people probably thought they can pick up high $ coin for very low price, instead they got it at more realistic price.

Yes, these are the lowest mintage Kennedys. I think the original price was about $50-60, it was sold with the RFK dollar.
I have a few early commemoratives still in original holders with tabs.
I maybe wrong, but I thought the coins in uncirculated sets after 2004 are satin finish, while the half in rolls are regular finish?
