I'm going for proof Lincolns and low grade large cents.
Sorry Detecto that's rotten luck. One year I found no wheat cents in my change. Just gotta seek out your treasure (i.e. banks).
I too love large cents (hence my username) :) I have a small budget and really like coins like yours.
Neat find. Silver is always good!
I agree, the British Museum is amazing! Never saw the coins but the Rosetta Stone was awesome!
19/20! Missed that Virginia.
Omit
:)
Yep, me too! Nice notes, Kasia!
I've seen coin books and folders for very low prices at Half Price Books.
I was wondering, if you pry the thing open, can you put it back together?
Well, I use eBay, but some others like Littleton. Also be on the lookout for coin shows and shops near you.
If it were in trade dollars I'd probably agree with you;)
"Taxes are the price we pay for a civilized society." In my opinion, there is no satisfaction in ill-gotten gains.
Since you have a set of World War II dimes maybe you should try World War I or Civil War dimes.
Nice stuff everyone! Last Saturday I bought a relatively low mintage 1809 large cent in well worn condition. I also got a Roman Trajan denarius...
Sorry about that. It's rough, I know what it's like thinking you're going to get to go somewhere and you get let down.
Got a slick silver Canadian quarter with Victoria on it for 10¢ at the coin show on Saturday. I was tickled pink! Also, bought a 2007 Standard...
+1. I'm no expert, but $20 by my Redbook.
Sadly yes there are. We need to educate the numismatically-ignorant public!
