I'm not an expert, but there are about 23 die varieties of this date half dollar. Can you tell us the circumstances surrounding your acquisition...
I can't see anything to make me say it is fake.
This one sold for $131 in January 2010 [IMG]
Imagining.... Will nic-a-date for dollars!
No, they are 1 oz. pure silver.
It may be StainLess (if you don't look too carefully), but I DO know it is not ScratchLess, DingLess or GougeLess.
I don't know....the reverse gouges seem to have copper color in them.
Maybe because it is attracted to a magnet, but isn't rusty?
Come on now, sellers says "It is gunuine". That proves something!
>>Can anyone tell me WHY he had SO many 1960 D cents? Are they large date or small date? Maybe he was trying to corner the market...!
A transaction involving under $10,000 is not reportable on this form. A transaction split into smaller parts, each under $10,000, is STILL...
I'm not seeing it.
Coins you may have a realistic chance of seeing in change: 1960 (plain or D) Small Date 1982 (plain) zinc maybe the 1970-S Small Date Any 1982...
I think the working is "M ANTONINVS AVG ARM PARTH MAX"
Here is a PDF of the IRS Form 8300 and attached instructions.
And sometimes 4/5 cheaper.
I don't have a book with this in it, but one sold in 1999 (undisclosed price) where is was described as from "CA Los Angeles".
Q Tip?
Lol.... 1607
