Something doesn't look right here..."book value on this coin is approximately 25k"... This is a raw Carson City Silver Dollar from the year 1889....
Yeah, I'm a bit baffled and at the same time curious by this...it took me 7-8 months to find my VF30 w/CAC and I paid through the nose for it....
Dang Paddy that's nice! A large S?
[ATTACH] Just for comparison here's my '38 D/S in PCGS slab.
There is obviously (imo) a lack of uncleaned, undamaged, etc, 1889 CC's...is this all through normal attrition?
Here's a '54 S/D Jefferson (another omm)...only 7 graded by PCGS... http://www.pcgs.com/cert/81411860
Over mint mark...Paddy's post from Nov 2009 Coin Talk Here's another member of my heard.1938 D/D/D/S Buffalo Nickel.VP-001 OMM . Mintage 400,000...
Coin appears to be an awfully nice Lincoln, I wouldn't mess with it. The copper carbonate gives it some real character.
Man those pictures are sharp!
Hmmm...you mean before 60's when Morgans were being purchased at face?
It's clear to me that there is a large number of details graded '89 CC's out there...especially from Eternity coins. Anyone have ideas/theories...
Trust me, I've done that more than once...enjoy your CC, it's a nice one!
@Swervo513 I agree.
I think the strike on yours is a bit better to be honest. Happy TG.
Sure... [ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Rebounded $2 here...there may be hope.

Larry, just an FYI...I have a 63 NGC slabbed with very good luster and strike that I paid $401 for.
I'll say 63, not good eye appeal, lacks luster, if you got it for under $390 I think you did ok.
