"Hey there is great stuff here all the time, what are you talking about?". Couldn't pass that up! I too enjoyed the great threads...
$155?, now I've got to go and dig in my toss bucket
I'd say polishing marks and clash marks, maybe even a dropped letter or two.
I suspect gas bubbles or corrosion.. Of course better pictures would help..
If that quarter could talk it would still be screaming Ouch!!!
Nothing here but Post Mint Damage. All happened after the minting process.
school over yet? anxious to see that coin..
How about a close up of 'LIBERTY'. thanks
PMD. Self inflicted I don't think so.
Will definitely need closer shots. Most here cannot magnify them large enough to see them..
Looks like a lot of post mint damage.
Looks like a weak strike.
It can't be because ___________. It's MD. Got any clearer pictures? Looks like a little die deterioration on the letters.
ddr = "doubled die reverse", not "double die reverse" notice the "d" at the end of double!! There is no such a thing as a "double die".
Can't tell because the picture is too out of focus. It's a off-center strike.
Yep better pictures is a must. No doubled dies listed with that kind of spread.
1917S Walking Liberty Half Dollar. Did I ever say I love those Walkers? I love those Walkers. Probably the best design ever made. IMOHO
Did a little adjusting of the light and it looks like it was hit on the edge causing the rim to raise. [IMG]
A picture of the edge would help. Can't see any indication of damage on the picture of the obverse. It's a possible cud.
If you were to look carefully at the nine and how it is shaped you can see where the curves at the bottom and top of nine is there. [IMG]
