One of our most pleasingly designed coins (IMHO). It boggles my mind, however, that they didn't foresee the date problem.
I grade it quite nice. Great looking buffalo!
It looks like a 3 to me for sure. Great find. Last week, I found a '38-S in change, not quite as nice as this, but certainly AU.
Last winter I found a 1945-S nickel on the floor of a local store. I haven't found one in actual change in years, though.
I have gone through several hundred dollars worth of rolls from the bank to fill a book. I found about half of the war dates, and even a 50-D....
I'm no expert here, but that horn looks too prominent, while the overall appearance seems a bit muddy. Something fishy about it anyway.
Back in the '60's, we could get $50 bags from our local bank; Only on Saturdays, from parking meters. Many good finds in those, but never an...
While some of these coins are attractive, I often see that many coins on ebay promoted as toned really means corroded.
Just think, in 30 years or so, a new generation of collectors will be combing through rolls to find those elusive Memorial cents. (Well, that is...
This current craze of "toning" baffles me. Often what I see described as "toned" in some of these listings is just another word for tarnished.
I have seen one or two colored like that. My thought was that it was laying outside for a period of time, then found....just my guess.
1907 V nickel in a roll of nickels: last year.
My best guess is a 1914 D. I've never seen a 40's cent with that much wear.
I would love to see a return to a classic Liberty obv. design. If we must have a person, the 2005 Buffalo nickel wasn't too bad, especially the...
I have gone through hundreds of dollars worth of nickels...not a single 2009, P or D. ):
Really looks like a 44 to me. But that's about the most worn Lincoln I have ever seen.
While searching nickel rolls, besides the many Canadians, I have found coins from The Bahamas, Somalia, France, The Philippines and Panama. My...
I haven't found any 2010 quarters in circulation yet. Has anybody seen any?
I have a question about silver prices. If silver is, say $ 30 an ounce, does that mean someone will pay you that much for your silver coins? Or...
