Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for but as you may already know as the zinc rots it lifts the plating and normal handling moves it...
I agree finding them does make us a little excited.

You could check it against other 'struck through' errors to determine what others are selling for. on e-bay
Well to me it looks like it was struck well, just a worn coin.
On the reverse below Monticello looks like a struck through, the line across Monticello does not.
