Notice how the MD goes both ways. It's a give away for MD.
I'm not a professional,But I wouldn't send it in. The coin has some good circulation wear. In my opinion it would cost a lot more to get it graded...
From what I see,I'd personally kick them all!
This is what a Kennedy proof should look like. This is an impaired coin.[ATTACH]
Shouldn't this coin have the frosted bust? It doesn't appear to be frosted from the OP's pics!
I have one just like that! Does yours have MD along the back as well?
Lucky you! I've been through over $1000 dollars worth of halves and haven't found any silver. A couple clads but not good ones! But nice finds!
I actually have a '39 with about 90-95% steps,Too bad it's a '40 reverse!

I found two more impaired Kennedy half proofs to add to the collection.[ATTACH]
[ATTACH] From what I understand if the steps are missing ( as in your coins) it's impossible to tell.
Are you sure the first pic and last pic are the same coin?
To me it looks like the 40 reverse, Note how the steps have a straight line on either end.
If you look at the D in United just east the crack is more visible. I do agree these aren't the best pics and it does look incuse. But it is...
I didn't think it would be much over face, I just like finding these oddities!
Would the Northern most crack be considered a die break?
I believe this is a rim cud. Not a valuable coin,But happy to find if that's what it is. Any thoughts are appreciated![ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
This would be my second one,Pretty happy to find it! Any thoughts are appreciated![ATTACH] [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
I admit it's hard to see the northern most die crack at the edges,But it does run rim to rim,and the 3 southern most die cracks are pretty nice....
I looked at Wexler's and didn't see an exact match for either but there was a few that looked really close. Any thoughts are appreciated![ATTACH]...
