Looked through a pile of old coins my dad set aside because they seemed interesting, and found a 1898-O dime

Wow, great story! I have one, too. Back in 1968, when my dad was just a kid, he got into coin collecting. He would regularly go to the bank to...
Still find the occasional silver dime in change, and my dad pulled a '58 quarter, a couple silver dimes, and a few wheats out of the coffee money...
1917 for sure. Maybe somehow ICG got it wrong, or, as suggested before, it has been tampered with.
In my area, about every one in thirty is a new 2010 cent. Picked a couple to keep, now just letting the others circulate.
I've got a couple canadian coins around here somewhere... I'll post them when I can find them.
Got an interesting serial number after buying lunch a couple days ago L 73303008 H
Ive seen a few like that around my school. I know that you can at least plate pennies in zinc and heat them to achieve a similar effect.
Just a canadian dime from a coinstar today...
Cleaned out halves from three banks today. Best I got was a few bicentennials and a couple 2001 P NIFC's. No silver.
Got another singapore 20 cent coin today...
I know what you mean with that. I keep the more dramatically off centered ones. Strange how this is only so common in dimes...
Like how you could probably get a "real" 1933 quarter from china?
Tell the bankers about silver, and none will get to you.
i agree. Looks like PMD.
we need a picture of the reverse of at least the 1912.
I'm in the 11-20 area
Got a 1991 20 cent coin from singapore today. Also got a few 50's nickels. A couple weeks ago I got a 10 pence coin.
