Looks like a grease strike to me. Their must of been some greasy mint employees in 2000. I have found quite a few 2000 halves that have details...

yes 2001 halves are extremely common to find
I work at the store and I look at all the machines if one has a silver dime/quarter showing I will take it and replace it with a non silver...

yep I pick up about 2-3 per box of cents from BOA I save them for my dad

I got that bug too! I searched 2 boxes of halves I found 5 1964 halves a 1958 Franklin and 7 40%ers :)
I went through $190 in hand rolled halves found 3 40%ers, 1 1964 and found a 1987-P also the teller had a silver quarter a silver dime and a 40%...

I found a sacagawea dollar in a roll the other week I have also found 2 quarters so far in my machine rolled halves.
