The first one is struck thru grease. The second one is just die deterioration. IMHO
Yeah, it looks like it might match. Die crack isn't exactly the same though. Might be a different die stage?
It does not have any errors. It appears plated to me. Which would have happened after it left the mint.

I think so. 1959 nickels are known for it so it is very likely.
It could have definitely lost that much weight IMO. Looks super ground down, and the edges are rounded.
Doubled dies are not struck twice, and neither is MD. Doubled die coins are often confused with double-struck coins which look completely...

Looks like a Doubled die to me. But next time just crop it so the coin is easier to see. I had to zoom way in on my pc to see it.
You need to post pictures for the best responses, but a star note usually isn't worth much of a premium if anything unless it is uncirculated.
If you ever want to check if you have some kind of variety, let it be doubled dies or rpm's, check variety vista and see if there is a match....
