It seems a little worn for F-12. I am VG-10. I like it. I did notice the 13 stars. I might have a 15 star one (awful condition). I'll have to look.

If an old Merc is very worn, it's not going to matter how good the strike was or how early the die stage was if you can't see any lines on the fasces.
I thought that the blue was desirable for this coin. But I am not surprised the acetone removed the toning.
Take a scissors and trim off a 1/16 of an inch. I think you can just spend it. If it was counterfeit it would feel funny to the touch. If it feels...
Not sure what you mean about the 19. The easiest way for me to tell in the 82 is the shape of the 2. Whether it is large or small.

If it has the security thread and watermark, and "feels" right, it's prob real. Maybe just a bad cut.
