Congrats DJ! I should have some new coins tomorrow - a buffalo nickel and two bust halves. I will post one here.
I know what you mean - I need a new camera, but it will just have to wait.
I'll go with MS61 brown - I can't tell in some places if it is glare or wear. But it looks nice to me.
Nice coin - I was just looking at some online and it is interesting how the L in liberty looks low on most of the coins.
Okay - I'll take a stab at AU58. Really don't know enough about these, but that is my try.
Cool find!
You have to admit some of the stories are out there - not that this one is, but some of them are. So don't take offense. I personally do not know...
Cool finds - how about some pictures. I can't estimate the worth since I do not know enough about buffalo coins - I do have a couple.
While I would not collect them I do find them interesting.
Very nice coin!
Yep - looks like a n-6 to me.
Nice coin and I agree XF40. As mentioned it has a nice color to it.
Take a picture of the side with a penny next to it. I would like to see the thickness of the coin. So far I do not think it is an error, but...
I believe if the obverse was perfectly centered the cost would be even more. It is even harder to find the perfectly centered coins from that era.
Not me, but it looks like someone will.
Nice variety of coins that you have!
Nice coin!
Kanga - Here is a 1798 that I really like. :)
Yes - I believe it is what is called Longacre doubling.
Nice coin and story! Certainly looks like the hot lips picture I have.
