Hve you looked up the die markers on the 18/7?
Striations happen on the planchet. Die polishings happen by the care taking of the dies. These are usually end of the strip, maybe even beginning...

Well, this will be an eye opener for many of you. This coin jumped out of the case blazing luster, good color, I had to see why it graded the way...
Been having computer issues. I will post the grade in the morning.
They are tough to tell especially when you get to the gem and gem + grades. There are many threads on CT about this topic.
Got a few Denver Jeffersons today. Went back in with 12 nickels to exchange, she swore that she was losing money. Only got 8 for the troubles.
You could label them. gives an Idea what you see I think that I may see a few, one is a D/D.
