It looks like a Lincoln Cent. Take photo of both sides with your cell phone about 5" away. Now crop out the background and post what's left...

It looks like another die crack. I do like the colors on the coin. That gold color must be from your light source as the white background is also...
I voted keep it because it's only ten dollars. You can do whatever you want later in life. It only has the one gold otherwise it's in great shape....
