It's not a coin. :)
It's just an ounce of silver and it makes perfect sense to me but what do I know? We've determined in another thread that I'm a nut. :)
I don't think so but with that corrosion my answer is it really doesn't matter.
Does it look flat to you? It does to me.
Looks like MD to me.
Copper does tone blue under the correct conditions.
Ms-63
You are probably correct!
The photos are blurry when I try to enlarge them. From what I can see it looks like MD. Where do you see the doubling that you are questioning?...
Slightly off but not enough to increase its value.
A small stain or discoloration on the copper coating.
Not worth grading despite the nice looking condition. I can buy a MS-66 example for $5.00. It will cost a lot more than that to have it graded.
Well within tolerance.

MD can happen in any coin regardless of its manufacture. Proof, Business, Reverse Proof, Enhanced Proof, Satin Finish or any other type can...
The JO are probably the designers initials. It was probably minted at a private or third party Mint. If you inherited it from your father in law...
You should read your Red Book.
Would face value.
That coin is damaged and the zinc is showing. I can't tell from the photos but the copper coating may have been filed or sanded. Damage is damage.
