It is a shame what some people will post but it's more of a shame what they sell to unsuspecting buyers.
First it was struck with extremely worn Die. Secondly, it has seen plenty of circulation and has the damage to show it.

Yes to a lamination. Leave it be and put it in a flip or something to protect it. A nice hard case 2 x 2 would be best.
